Is there a particular type of hose that must be used for the Turbo Connector Hose?
My turbo had a braided hose, similar to that of the fuel line return hoses but larger, that was leaking pretty badly at both ends. I removed it and took it into my local parts store and the guy at the counter said that I needed that particular style hose. He cut me a length of 3/8" fuel hose to hold me over until I could get my hands on some.
It seems to be working well thus far, but I haven't put much stress on it. Do I really need the braided hose that I originally had? I noticed in Kent's turbocharger overhaul video that the car he was working on had what appeared to be a rubber hose and not the braided kind.
