I purchased the fast glow system upgrade for my w115 '75 300D and my indie (a Mercedes tech) tells me that there is only glow going to the glow plugs when the starter is cranking so basically no pre glow prior to cranking. Is this true? Is there a mod to get pre glow or is he wrong? He has advised me to go back to the factory loop setup which to me seems more of a liability based upon the way it was originally designed. I prefer to have a system that relies on all five glowing versus having one or more of the original elements burned out and starting with potentially no glow if the first one or two closest to firewall are burned out. Advice please? Thanks! Also, is there an easy way to deactivate the seatbelt setup in order to start this car? Starter will not operate unless seatbelt is engaged -thanks!
