'92 300D leaking diesel from injectors/pump?

When I took my '92 300D mercedes to have oil changed was told there was a leak from injectors on drivers side. What do you think this car needs to stop the leak?

Common sources of fuel leaks

Hi, the most common source of fuel leaks in and around the fuel injectors are from deteriorated rubber fuel return hoses that are connected between the injectors. The injectors themselves can also leak fuel between the two halves. Lastly, it is common for these models to leak fuel out of the top of the fuel injection pump. I will need to know exactly where the leak or leaks are comming from to be able to recommend the parts to repair. Kent

Is this an expensive item to repair. Could it be the fuel injection pump? The car starts and runs perfectly.. it just leaks on my driveway. Is it safe to drive the car if it is leaking? I will take it to a repair person after Christmas. I just hope it is not too expensive to repair. thanks for your help.

Cheap to fix if only the hoses

If it is only the hoses that are leaking you could replace them yourself for about $20. You will have to look closely under the hood while the engine is running to see where the leak is coming from. I can not advise that it is ok to drive. Not a good idea to be dumping fuel on the road....

fuel leak 1992 300D

If the fuel injection pump was bad wouldn't the vehicle have trouble starting? I took it to a car repair shop and they wanted me to pay them $3040 + tax to replace the fuel injection pump. I felt like they were takng advantage of me since I am an unknowing female so I declined the repair. The leak is not too bad but enough to mess up driveway. The oil change man stated that the leak was coming from around the injectors on the driver's side of the vehicle. The car starts up perfectly and runs very well. Tomorrow I will take the car to a foreign auto repair shop and get their opinion. Any advise you may have for me to tell them I greatly appreciate. I bought this mercedes new in 1992 and it is a wonderful driving vehicle and in excellent condition except for this leak and I have a broken clip that holds down the sunvisor on the passenger side, do you sell these clips?

Anyone changed the O-Ring where the Injection pump mounts to Crankcase? How big of job is it, and instructions? Thanks, Justin
