W123 Blower Heater Motor Won't Run

This applies to the 1977 to 1985 240D 300D 300CD 300TD 280E and 280CE.

If the heater blower motor is not running in your W123 chassis there may be a number of reasons. Don't jump the gun and order a new motor or other parts until you have diagnosed the problem. It could be a fuse, the switch, the brushes in the motor or the motor itself. If it is a 1977 to 1980 model with automatic climate control it could even be a vacuum leak that could cause the motor not to run.
