This accumulator was unique in the mid to late 1970s. It was used on all 6.9s but only some 450 V8 models. That is why you MUST know which type you have BEFORE ordering. You can clearly see the two threaded holes coming into the front of the accumulator housing. The small nipple in the back is for an emergency drain off should the diagram inside rupture or leak. The way to test is to remove the hose on this nipple. If there is fuel in the hose the accumlator is no good.
