PLEASE NOTE: This is a short "general tip" video that will apply to many models from the mid 1960's to the early 1990's. The how-to filmed is from a 1972 300SEL sedan. No specific step-by-step instructions are given here for each model. Models not applicable are the R107 convertibles from 1972 to 1989 and the early W126 1980 to 1985 with the twin latch mechanisms on each side of the grill. 

TOTAL RUNTIME: 3 minutes

RECOMMENDATION: You might want to consider just replacing the hood cable on any Mercedes over 30 years old as a preventative measure. If the cable has never been replaced it WILL BREAK someday!
