For these old 6 cylinder gas engines of the late 80's and early 90's Kent feels this part along with the injector o-ring seals could be one of the most overlooked maintenance items on these engines. These rubber seals get very hard with age and heat and they will shrink allowing the injector to get loose and air to leak by the fuel injector where it fits into the engine. This can cause all kinds of engine problems including rough running, poor fuel economy, and hard starting.
