For these old 6 cylinder gas engines of the late 80's and early 90's Kent feels injector seals are one of the most overlooked maintenance items on these engines. These particular orings get very hard with age and heat and they will shrink allowing air to leak by the fuel injector where it fits into the engine. This can cause all kinds of engine problems including rough running, poor fuel economy, and hard starting.

It requires fuel injector removal to replace these o-rings. You will want to replace the rubber holder seals at the same time ( see related products below). Plan to clean and test your fuel injectors during seal replacement.
