1983 300DT 123--New Compressor/Fuses ok/Air won't work
We have replaced the compressor, dryer, and the fuses are ok. The Air Conditioner will not work. What should we check next? Someone suggested Climate Control. Where is it located?

Greetings, all.
I've got all the parts I need to replace the fuel injector return lines on my 617 engine, but I'm not sure what tools I should have and what procedures I need to follow. Most that I've read says I only need a pair of needle nose pliers, but this seems too simple to me. Is it really just a matter of pulling the old guys out and pushing the new ones in?
Thanks!
Collin
A couple of years ago I installed the fuel boost pump sold on this site (DSE-COMAEBP) and the optional filter. Can failure of this pump result in fuel supply problems?
I ask because yesterday I developed the classic symptoms of a fuel supply problem: the car will start but runs rough and eventually stalls. I checked the boost pump filter, changed the main fuel filter and bled the air from the system, No change. I then ran diesel purge through the injectors and re-bled the air. No change.
I had my valve cover off this weekend to adjust the valves. I decided to check the 'chain stretch' but am unsure of whether the pointer showing 5deg or 2deg. Also, I am unsure of what to do next, does the chain need to replaced (car has around 150k on it) or is this tolerable?
Here is a pic of the indicator on Flickr: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4018/4702434216_986910dcca_b.jpg
thanks
Kent: Will a turbo rebuild kit be offered for the KKK turbo? If not, any advise on rebuilding this turbo?

1982 turbo diesel wagon. great runner. no mechanical or fuel issues. always ran about 180 or so degrees. just barely above the 175 f mark on the gauge.
recently...maybe over a month or two. it is rising to near
200. (the next hashmark on the guage) or sligly above with in stop and go. and then drops to about about 185-190 at 60 mph. my usual cruising speed.
outside temps around 95 (though outside temp doesnt really have much of an effect...samre readings day or night)
I have the new 617 Turbo Rack Damper and instructions, ready to replace the old one.
Before I start, it looks VERY tight in there!
Do I have to remove the oil filter housing to do this?
No mention of this in instructions, but I've read elsewhere that it is necessary. Thanks.
After a cold night(I forgot to plug in the heater), the engine will crank
but not start. Replaced fuel filters, tried Diesel purge from bottle, even
starter fluid. Nothing worked.......any ideas.
Glow plugs, alternator, battery, valve adj. in last yr. Timing chain replaced
at 130K. Car now has 340K. Compression check @ 290K: 340,350,400,360,380.
It was the uplift pump.
