1982 300CD Wheel Change
I like the look of the wheels with hubcaps on the older 240d's and 300d's. I have a nice painted set of hubcaps, but can't find a set of wheels. I would like to stick with the same 6" tire. Any Suggestions? Thanks - John

1985 300TD - How to Repair Damaged Vacuum Hard Line?
I had a short which burnt through a vacuum hard line under the dash. After that the car wouldn't turn off. I cut out the small burnt section and reconnected the lines with a short piece of 1/8" rubber tubing. The fit seemed pretty snug but still the car only turns off after a few seconds. How can I make a good repair to the hard line? Should I be gluing the rubber tubing onto the line? The hard line is behind the steering column and very hard to access, so the simpler the better.

'85 cam on my '79 300SD head?
In the midst of installing the > $600 worth of stuff I bought off the site :-) and am curious about your take on cam. The '79 300SD had the lowest HP of the 617 turbo run and 85's the highest. Folks on some of the chat boards are suggesting I put an 85 cam and cam tower on the head once I get it back from the shop. Thoughts? that and know where a guy might get a good '85 cam/towers?
Thanks!
