1985 300D water leak

Despite replacing the windshield and rear window seals, the door window seals and the sunroof seals, water still puddles on the floor of the front passenger compartment. I have looked at the drains under the hood hinges. They seem to be clogged but I can't get a wire very far into them and it seems impossible to blow them out with compressed air. Where do they exit? Can one clean them from the underside? The repair manual on CD I got from Mercedes is no help. A lot of the information (visuals)on that CD is very bad quality. Where else should I look for possible water entrance points?

1983 300SD Rear Windshield Size Different From 1985 300SD ?

I wanted to replace the rear windhshield in my 1983 300SD with a better one which came out of a 1985 300SD. I purchased the new seal made by Meyle from Mercedessource. The auto glass place was not able to install it because the 1985 glass is about 1" longer than the old one out of the 1983. Both cars are W126 models. Is there a series of years which will fit one but not the other? Is it possible to buy a new glass at a reasonable price? If yes where?

Thank you
Dieter

86 SDL TURBO My Rears are better but now I have a water problem!

OK I fixed my rear suspension with help from here
and I fixed my seat for my rear with the seat fixer from here.
Great instructions and as Kent says "try the seat before installing"
Trully a HUGE differance....
But (no joke intended)
I discovered that the carpet was soaking wet at the two fastening points
at the back of the seat.
We had some rain so I thought that was the issue.
Dried everything and reinstalled the seat
(make sure you put the plastic trim on 1st)
Drove around and guess what ?
It was wet again!!!

'85 300D Brake cable and ABS sensor

I'm looking at an '85 300D with low miles but the emergency brake cable is snapped and there is an ABS warning light that comes on.

I know you have a booklet about the emergency brake system, but is replacement of the cable covered in the manual? How much of a "bear" is it to replace the cable from the cabin to the Y?

Since there is an ABS warning light, how hard is it to replace the wheel sensor AND since there is one sensor for each front wheel on this model (I believe) how do you assure which sensor is failing? Do you carry the sensors in stock?

Thanks,
