1984 300 CD Rear Bumper Corrosion

removed the rear bumper and associated rubber trim pieces because the black trim piece running the length of the bumper was loose. Further investigation revealed it's time to conduct some corrosion control on all the metal parts.

Looking inside the bumper one bumper shock has separated from the bumper. I plan to just drill holes and bolt the bumper and shock back together. However, the bumper is severely corroded where the bumper and bumper shock contact, possibly a case of dissimilar metal contact.

Later Style Door Actuator Diaphragm Replacement

I am wondering if anyone sells the later style diaphragms for the door actuators. These are the little exterior diaphragms that slide down over the actuator rod that connect to door. I actually repaired one by impaling it on a small stick and spraying 3M rubberized spray over it which sealed the small tear -it then held vacuum! Can't help but think there is another piece of rubber fitting out there in the world that would probably work for such a simple application -any thoughts?

83 300D Windshield Washer Kit/Spray Pattern

I installed the Windshield Washer Squirter kit recently. The installation went well, once I figure out how to remove the old squirter nozzles. I now have the situation where the nozzles spray most of the washer fluid over the roof of the car. The driver's side nozzle, in particular, misses most of the left half of the windshield. Is there a way to adjust the spray pattern on these new nozzles?

85 300TD Alternate Hood Release Fix

I Just Broke my Hood release cable. After I open the hood, can I cut the cable about three feet from the hood end, and reroute the shortened hood latch end over the left headlight? There I could make a loop in the end and kinda hide it on top of the light? I think I can remove the outer sheath and just use the wire to unlock the hood. Please comment on the feasability/drawbacks ..... thanks
