1987 560SEL Outside Door Handles [removal]
Nice video on 123 outside door handle removal!! How do you remove 125 o/s door handles? I assume you remove the door panel and go at it from the inside?

I started noticing that under heavier right turns, I'm getting a slight but definitely noticeable vibration. I have not checked the PS fluid yet but I'm guessing it could be a wheel bearing. Is this accurate?
1984 123 300dt. Need to replace the passenger side front window motor. Circuit and switches test OK. Is there an alternative year or model that will fit? Close-by wrecking yards have 123's and 126's, and other Mercedes models.

I am having one heck of a time trying to get my front driver seat out of this car. The problem is getting the seat to move forward enough in order to clear the rear bolts. I have looked at videos from MercedesSource and this seat will not clear the area for the rear bolts. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I've taken the door check apart... the strap rides in a groove, with
spring-loaded ball-bearings... I've cleaned & lubed it, but now can't
figure out how to compress the balls back into the strap, and put it
back into the body of the unit (the spring is *strong*, and the balls
are slippery!
Cheers.

I'm replacing the rubber on the doors. The info re the outer scrapers in the MB manual is rather sparse. Any nuances I should be aware of prior to taking this on? Best regards. J.
Fuse #14 keeps blowing. Here are the electrical issues I've noticed:
1. The car will only start in neutral.
2. The glow plug buzzer does not go on (but the glow plug light works).
3. After the buzzer stops working the AC blows hot only.
Fuse #14 certainly could impact the AC because according to the fuse diagram it controls "control unit/water pump/heating water valve for climate control system.....". But what about the neutral safety switch and the glow plug buzzer?
fuses checked-power coming to seat control module. 12v applied to seat motors-run fine. ohmmeter check of wires from door-mounted seat switch to control module-all fine. This leaves seat control module- disassembled and re-soldered all connections-seats still not functioning. What am I missing?
Thanks, John
My family is preparing to move to Delaware from Oklahoma. As I understand it, Delaware is in the "Rust Belt." I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to prevent rust problems before they happen. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

My '82 w126 300sd center console rear vent (the one that exits out the back of the center console facing rear seat passengers) has been stuck open and when I pulled vent, I discovered why. Upon reinstalling, I have no vent function and it seems cable is now disconnected on the other end (front of car) the question is, where is the other end and where/how do I access? Thanks Kent!
