This is a new car to me and I was replacing the glow plugs. To make it easier I removed the Intake Manifold on that engine since some of them did not have the 'proper' nuts on the bad glow plugs.
My mistake was to not cover the intake holes and I think something fell into....ALL THE WAY into the cylinder (past the valve). I have all the nuts and bolts that I was using, so I can't figure out what fell in. After I put it together I heard a metallic bang, bang, bang when I started the engine so I shut it down right a way.
Is there a way to access the cylinder with a magnetic probe without taking the head off completely? Would taking the precombustion chamber out give me access? How big is the hole? Wondering if my probe could fit in there. What tool would I need to take those out?
Can you guess, I feel really ashamed for not covering those holes to protect the engine.

Second item.
I am getting an oil leak I think from the Turbo...to where the intake manifold is wet with engine oil (I ran it a bit with the piece across the top off and it was spritzing everything with little oil drops for the air coming from the turbo. Is that a sign that a new turbo is needed or would there a chance is could be some oil seals with the turbo? Any way for me to figure it out?
thanks so much!
