PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. This line will not fit the 601 602 and 603 diesel engines produced from 1984 to 1995. If you order in error this part is not returnable. See applicable models and years in subtitle. We had this new straight hard line specially manufactured for us in Germany. It has identical fittings on both ends that secure to the end of a fuel injector and to the top of the delivery valve fittings on the injection pump. It is long enough to replace any of the fuel injector hard lines on the early four and five cylinder diesels.

The metal fuel lines are starting to crack with more frequency as these engines age. Vibration is tough on the end fittings. We recommend you carry one of these in the trunk of your car to use in an emergency. Imagine one of your hard lines breaking on a road trip and trying to find a replacement. Even the dealers don't have these in stock!
The pictures below will show you how we recently replaced one on a 300SD. Be sure to carry a 17 mm open end wrench and a couple 8 mm wrenches to remove the clamps. With a little finesse you can get the installation to look factory. Start by making the first bend by hand using the old line for a pattern. For larger bends you can use your leg to shape the curve.
Fit tight end bends just connect the hard line to the injector and tighten down the nut. Then use both hands to work the bend. Be careful to not bend too tight and kink the metal. When you are are done you can get the line close to one of the other lines and use the clamp to secure. This one only took us 5 minutes to install. If you spend more time you can even get the bends to look factory!
Try one. You will love it!
