I have hit my head so many times on the grill edge while working on R107 engines that I finally decided to do something about it while recently changing the fuel injectors on a 380SL. I know you can take the hood off, and I have done that in the past, but it is a pain and takes time and effort to protect the hood from nicks and scrapes. When I first did this, I was amazed at how much higher the hood could be raised once the factory hood hinges were disconnected. Watch the video below to be amazed!

You only need one extender mounted on one side. It comes in two pieces for you to bolt together before installation. This gives it extra strength and also allows you to adjust it to your liking by drilling new holes in varying locations.
