This is one of Kent's favorite tools around his shop. It is used almost daily. The tool rose out of a need to be able to safely hold fuel inectors while cleaning when with a large high speed wire wheel. No tool like this is availabe so it had to be built in our shop!

When working on automotive engines a long heavy machinist straight edge is a must. This is the best way to tell if the mating surfaces are flat and true. That includes cylinder heads, engine blocks, intake and exhaust manifolds as well as critical sealing metal to metal covers and housings. 

I am throwing in the wires for free, so please, no complaints. They work and are not all the same color, but you could use them if you ever need to replace one wire. The two wire holders for the valve covers are also included from free.

If you own, plan to own, and want to enjoy driving your old CIS fuel-injected Mercedes, Kent highly recommends you learn to do a full fuel system flow and pressure test.

This critical coolant hose hardly ever gets changed, and when it ruptures, you could experience a catastrophic engine failure. The chief reason is that it is almost impossible to see and inspect.

If your engine is taking too long to heat up or is constantly running "hot" it is probably time to replace the thermostat. Kent explains in the video below some other parts you should consider replacing at the same time.

The bearing in this pulley wears out at 80,000 to 120,000 miles and can cause rumbling sounds while the engine is running. A good time to plan to replace or at least inspect this is when you change the V-belts.

This is what you need as the final touch to get your later 450 engine to run smoothly.  New OE Bosch cap, Bosch or Bremi rotor, and new Bremi wires. If you need spark plugs as well please order separately. See related products below

This is seldom replaced. If you engine is taking over 15 minutes to get up to full operating temp then your thermostat is probably worn now. We got you covered with kit. We will get you the extra hardware, supplies and video instructions so you have the confidence to do this job yourself.

I have hit my head so many times on the grill edge while working on R107 engines that I finally decided to do something about it while recently changing the fuel injectors on a 380SL.

Upgraded top seals for better and longer-lasting sealing properties and well as standard green seals for the bottom of the injector holder. With these seals you can clean and reuse your existing fuel injector holders / sleeves.
