I have recently replaced the motor in my 80 240d with an 83 motor. The clutch on the new(er) motor was in such nice shape I did not replace it. Is the throw-out bearing from my 80 incompatable? Things grind a little when the pedal reaches the floor.

Whats going on? I've a 1984 300D.
The heat works as normal for a few minutes after startup, then all vents close.
The only setting that gets air back through the vents is AC/Cold. However when rolling the dial back to hot the vents close again.

I need to replace the right rear axle shaft on 83 TD. Removing the differential cover revealed c clip. Is there a tool to remove it or what?

How do I install a 617 diesel in a Land Rover?
Hello, I have several 300TDs. My question is, I would like to take the 5 cylinder turbo diesel engine, mate it with a manual 4 wheel drive transmission (toyota sr5, 4 runner trans.), and install this into a 4 door Land Rover defender wagon.

300D Starter Shut down
Hi I have a 1982 300 turbo diesel and after the engine has run for a while if I shut off the car then try to restart nothing happens. It usually starts fine in the morning and when cold. Is it ignition related or is it a starter problem?
