83 300TDT non start

I was tyring to track a problem with slow engine shut-off and have solved the problem so completely that the engine is now totally stopped. While running my car with the shut off valve actuator disconnected from vacuum, a gauge on the line that supplies vacuum to that actuator and the ignition shut off to measure vacuum supplied to the actuator, the car slowly built to about -5lbs before the car rattled to a stop. The shut off valve actuator was disconnected from vacuum. The car will now crank but is not getting fuel (apparently). I have verified that there is no fuel at the return line when car cranks, no fuel moving in the prefilter. I have removed and checked the shut off actuator and shut off linkage. They are all moving freely and properly.

1984 300D 123 Rear Axle Flange Removal How?

I have a 1984 300D 123 chas that I was replacing the rear Axles on. I ran into a problem. I did a rush job while trying to take the right rear axle out. I took the tire off, then removed the 13mm long screw from the center of the hub, then I messed up when I tried knocking the Axle Shaft out with a crow bar. The curved crow bar banged into the grooves of the Axle Shaft Flange. So when i try to put the new axle on it wont go, because I destroyed the grooves.

w123 rear suspension CRACK? EEK!!!

I had my 1983 300D Turbodiesel on car ramps today, to drain the fuel tank and replace some hoses, and much to my horror, noticed that a rear suspension component, whose name I'm not certain of, has a crack. How can this have possibly happened??? What's the proper fix? How would I go about it, and what would I need, etc. The car has about 200,000 miles on it and wasn't in an accident ever. I'm shocked and quite worried that this is a "big project..." Here's some pix... ANY advice would be most appreciated. Doesn't seem like a common problem at all...

300D 617.912 engine will not start

I have a two tank SVO system on my Merc with 310,000 Kms on the clock - 100,000 Kms are mine most on SVO. I have never been stumped, held up or broken down before. The engine starts and shuts down on diesel. The problem- I was away for a week and my Merc sat idle. When I came back the Merc started hesitantly (low battery). I drove about 20 Kms and the next day she would not start for love nor money; totally dead. Not even a kick from one cyllinder. I checked; Lift pump ok, replaced with electric lift pump & still no go. IP moving fuel when lines cracked. Cam timing marks and harmonic balancer marks line up ok. Valve clearance not binding, Glow plugs working, has the Mercedessource fast plugs installed. Best thing ever. The injectors were re-newed 8 months ago,
