Adjusting the Idle on a 1981 240D

After doing a valve adjustment my D gear idle seems to be a little low and the engine shakes a little more than it used to. I am pretty sure the adjustment was done properly but for some reason I get a little more shake at idle and I was wondering if anyone knew how to adjust the idleon the 240D 1981 Autotrans mercedes?? Has anyone seen this before?

240D Auto Transmission Shifts Prematurely After Valve Adjustment?

I have a 240D 1981 and I recently performed a valve adjustment. The adjustment seems to have gone as planned but when I began driving it I noticed decreased power due to the fact that the tranny was shifting too early on all gears now. I may have 1st of all done the adjustment poorly or may have messed up some vacuum lines to the tranmission shifting system which I don't understand too well. Anyone have any hints?

79 240D oil leak on shoes while driving

oil is leaking into my car from somewhere up under the dash/cluster, and drips down onto the brake pedal and my shoe, and while it is not a huge leak, it is a messy pain in the ass, and i would love to figure out what is causing it, and fix it. i have tried looking up behind the dash, and it seems like pretty much everthing is coated in oil, and so it is hard to get a sense of where the leak is coming from. someone had suggested a faulty oil pressure gauge. how difficult of a repair job is this? do i need to take the dash out to solve this problem?

alternator on '77 300D - not charging battery - or battery prob?

It appears that the alternator on my '77 300D is not charging the battery anymore, or the battery is not charging via the alternator. I took my alternator up the other day to Schucks, they tested it and said it was fine. After driving a while, the battery-dependent electronics show that the battery is dying. Last night while my 300D was running, I disconnected the battery leads from the battery and hooked my multi-meter up to the neg and pos wire connections (not on the battery). The voltage was in the range of 10.xx to 11.xx volts. Now I'm no mechanic, but shouldn't it be higher?
