This is the most complete 1970 to 1975 V8 injector repair kit you can find anywhere. With Kent's detailed video instructions, no other kit even comes close! These parts should be replaced even if your injectors are performing ok. The seals get hard and brittle, and the small filters get gummed up and plugged. You may even have intake air leaks due to deteriorated seals.
Product Details
This kit includes the following:
- 8 lower injector to cylinder head seals
- 8 upper-pressure grommets
- 8 injector filter screens
- 8 plastic injector tip covers
- 4 red silicone plugs to keep contaminants from falling into the injector holes
- Sheet metal screw to remove small injector filters
- Wood dowel in install filters
- Hollow metal pin to help install plastic covers
- Cleaning supplies to clean injector holes in the cylinder head
- Pair of nitrile gloves
- Complete step-by-step video instructions
- Bonus - high-pressure hose and 16 clamps to make injector short hoses
This is the correct hose and clamps that are included. You will have to cut it into 8 short lengths that match the short hoses attached to your injectors. The reason this hose is included, even if your current hose looks ok, is because you will have to cut the hose even to remove it from the injector!
Unless your rubber fuel hoses have been recently replaced, we recommend replacing EVERY hose along your fuel rails with a high-quality pressure hose and new correct hose clamps. This kit is available separately. ( see below )
PLEASE NOTE: This kit does NOT contain anything that would allow you to test your injectors. The video instructions do allude to testing and what to look for, BUT if you want to pressure test each injector for proper operation and spray pattern, you will need a pressure tank and electronic injector tester. These are available separately. See related products below:
