I have purchased a thermostat from Mercedessource and have flushed the cooling system. My service manual states that the thermostat body and thermostat for a turbo model must have a green mark. The Behr thermostat I removed has a green centre pin. The replacement one does not. What does the green pin on the thermostat mean. Also you show somewhere how to drill modify a new thermostat. Can you post a link to this.

My injection pump is failing. How do I purchase a used IP and be sure it will fit my engine? What, if any, part numbers are necessary to insure a proper match? And, where are the part numbers located on the IP?
Quick question. What should I look for in regard to the capacity of a multimeter in regard to max amperage, etc for it to be effective for all possible testing uses on my '82 W123 and '92 W124 300D turbodiesels?
Any other recommendations for "multimeter must-haves" are welcome.
