79 240d breif power increase?

So I was out running around town and the 240 was its normal slow self when all of a sudden I had a power increase for about ten minutes. Accelerating and driving I could tell a very very noticeable difference. And as fast as the change happened it was gone again. Its never done that before or again. Really though I was maintaining speeds up steep hills that I normally loose 7 mph on! The fuel filters are about 6 months old and I run power service diesel treatment in every tank.

1985 300TD Missing & Hesitating

My car ran fine on WVO for a year (20,000 miles). I have a two tank system, each with its own FM100 filter and booster pump. I have solenoid valves for switching tanks and switching return lines. I also have the sump kit and the coils around the FM100 filter under the hood. My car starts & idles fine and drives well at freeway speeds. My problem is under acceleration or going up a hill the car begins hesitating and sort of missing and loosing power regardless of whether I am on WVO or diesel. I switched out every WVO fuel hose. The diesel system is 3/8" hose.

Damper plate issues 617 turbo 80 300td

Hello, I have searched many forums for an answer to my problem, I need help with. I was driving on the highway and lost my power steering, alternator and water pump(temp. climbing)pulled it over and found the crank pulley as well as all other pully's not turning (obviously). I took the car home after it cooled down for a few hours to have a look. I took off the rad a\c condensor, belts and fan/pulley. After the belts came off the harmonic damper/ main pulley assembly pretty much fell off. The large bolt (27mm) was broken with some still remaining in the crank.

'82 240D - front quarter panel trim piece?

I just lost the trim piece (the chrome and rubber strip) from my front passenger side quarter panel on my 1982 240D - it was starting to pop out of its snap attachments and it must have just flown off on the road somewhere. Does anyone know where you can buy replacement pieces of this type? I tried our nearest Pick 'n Pull junkyard but they didn't have any 123 body types.
thanks.

1982 300D Mercedes dies under load

Was recommended by others to reach out to you for help. I own a 1982 300D that is stalling when under a load The car started stalling when I came to a stop. I figured it was a good time to park it and replace rear cv's. 3 weeks have gone by and I have been having starting issues ever since. I first replaced both the primary and secondary fuel filters, next drained and boiled out fuel tank, blew out fuel lines, removed, cleaned, and replaced 2 of the 5 injectors, checked for any vacum leaks, and lastly fiddled with injector pump adjustment.

1980 300TD engine RPM valeus for 65 mph?

My 1980 wagon seems to rev higher than expected at 65mph. I installed a piezo-tach to get a look at engine RPM's. At 65 it runs about 3200 rpm, consistantly. If I count gear changes, I notice 3 shifts (when in Drive - I understand that in D the car starts off in 2nd). If I manually shift from 1st to Drive I count 4 shifts.

Tranny is properly filled, no abnormal noises either. I replaced both the CV shafts and while I was in the rear end nothing looked odd (had 2 split boots, that's why the change was needed).

'82 300 TD Wagon Leveling System Question

Okay, I was wondering if any of you guys could help me. I have noticed that my rear end on my wagon looks fine after I have finished driving. However, after some time goes by when I come back the drivers side has dropped down a couple inches. Also, when I drive, sometimes I hear what must be the leveling pump making some noises that sound kind of like Darth Vader breathing or something. I don't know if this means that I have a leak on the system or what. Does anybody out there know what I need to check/fix?

82 300TD Brake pedal sinks to the floor

So, I had to replace my front brake calipers on my '82 300 TD because they had rusted. After putting on new rubber brake hoses and new front brake calipers I of course bled the brakes. However, I got in the car and pumped the brakes last night and noticed that the brake pedal and after a few seconds the pedal would fall to the floor. Do you think that there could be some air still trapped in the brake line somewhere, or is there something else that I should check.
