Square Tank bolted to side on my 1980 300sd
On this 1980 300sd I have a square fuel tank that is bolted to the sides. Thers is no fuel sensor on the top of the tank. I can see all the way into the back and there is no sending unit. Where is the sending unit on these early 116 300sd's?

Has anyone converted a 1980 300sd with the MS kit. I have done my 1984 300sd and just purchased a 80 300sd and the engine compartment is way different. I am refering to the physical layout specifically. Thank you.

In the midst of the 100,000 mile rebuild kit, and can't get the center beraing loose on the turbo. How in the h e double hockey sticks does that thing shake loose? Everything else has gone without a hitch so far. I'm deathly afraid of busting something banging on it. Help?

ps turbo is off the car due to the head gasket R&R. Figured since I had it open might as well rebuild the turbo and the starter...
