I Have an 1983 123,Mercedes Benz Coupe diesel and Would like to know How to turn the idle up 900RPM. Any help advise would be helpful.e-mail Brubaker72@gmail.com
I recently purchased an 82 300 td. When I am driving the rear end bounces up and down. it has fluid in the reservoir.
Thanks
On rare occasions when I turn the A/C on and select high fan speed the blower is very fast (read powerful) and the temperature is very cold......Great! On other occasions in fact most of the time when the A/C temp is selected and the high speed fan switch is selected the fan is slow and the temperature is warm to cool. Yet at other times if I switch off the engine before switching off the A/C for example when refueling and then turn the engine back on the fan blows H-O-T.
I have an 84 300sd which I can't do anything to settle down the shaky engine during the rough idle. I ran 3 cans of diesel purge and that seemed to help while running Diesel Purge, but when back on WVO or diesel, the engine starts shaking. Is time to clean the injectors? What am I missing?
Air, fuel filters are new. Valve adjustment done. What next?
Thanks!
I have been experiencing an occassional power loss for quite some time now. A while back i took care of this problem when i found a loose clamp on the hose going to the hand primer pump. After tightening it and bleeding the system it took care of the problem.
Now i have a small fluid leak that i believe is coming from the bottom of the clear sediment bowl on my FM100. It is too difficult to tighten in its current position, so i have been putting off removing the FM100 filter.
Anyway, my question is this, can a small fuel leak like that be responsible for power loss?
Hello,
My Monovalve, the one that is bolted to the firewall and allows coolant into the heater core, has been stuck wide open, I removed it and it seems to be able to move now that I have cleaned it up a bit, is this item repairable, or should I just buy a new one....
Thanks
The vehicle is a 1980 300SD, 116 Chassis with nearing 300K miles. My problems began with a slight delay in the engine shutting off with the key, and has progressed to no door locks and I have to raise the hood and manually shut the engine off. I have also noticed the engine is running rough at idle, but smooths out at about 1000RPM. I intend to troubleshoot the vacuum system, but can't tell from the descriptions which of the guides I should purchase: the vacuum door lock one, the my engine doesn't shut off one, or the larger, apparently more comprehensive diesel survivor's guide.
