300D frozen wont start,

Hi All, I have a 84 300D , it was out in the subzero for a week, it is in the garage now, unheated, Chicago area. I tried many times to jump it when it was out side, now it is in 40 degree's but still wont start. Could the fuel injection have sucked air in if the fuel was frozen? if so how do i go about bleeding this system thanks adam

Ellusive Transmission leak

Hello, I have been dealing with an ellusive tranny leak for about 7 months now. I purchaced the new gasket kit from you guys at MS, and everything went fine. Only I have a dilema. I get a steady drip, drip leak on the drivers side of the pan. WHat else besides the gasket could leak? Could the pan be tweeked, it looked straight, the tabs and all. One of the front ones were bent a little out. I think I straigtened it. If not do you sell new or good used pans? I am ordering the transmission hoses, for precautionary measures, or perhapps these hoses are leaking? I rarley look up under there, I only have a small area in the alley to work on her and the tranny seems to be the 'black hole' area. ANy help would be great.

79 300CD - ID the engine?

I have a 79 300cd, I noticed shortly after purchasing it that it has a transmission vaccum valve [that is not hooked up] mounted on the injector pump, I could not locate a modulator on the transmission,I later read that79 models did not use vacuum for transmission control....hmmm I thought that maybe someone had changed the pump with one from a later model.

Spend $25 on purge or $90 on new injector tips?

My '80 240D has 237,000 miles on it. Just had the timing chain replaced and some other work done. Had latest Greasecar kit installed as well. Noted Kent's conversation about his son's 240D chugging up hills. Given the car's age and unknown status of the injector tips and similiar issues going up hill, should I just go ahead and buy new tips in deference to the diesel purge or is there more to the purge than just cleaning the tips? Thanks! Ben
