Need to remove my dash. So far, I have removed the center consoles, several screws on the bottom of the dash, and the instrument cluster. I'm having issues removing the pillar covers and I can't locate any other screws that need to be removed. Any advice or do you know which 115 maunal would cover this process?
Need to remove the manual sunroof to repair some surface rust. Any information to this process would be helpful.
This is my third Merecedes, the first 2 had 200K+ at time of purchase and i ran the cars until the body was literally falling off on one and the suspension fell apart on the other. Both still had sound engines but everything else was worn out. My latest purchase has 162K miles, everything appears clean inside and out, body good shape, feels solid going down the road, etc. One problem : uses a quart of oil every 200 miles when going at interstate speeds. Considering the others engines had so many miles and still ran well i have a hard time giving up on this one.
Hi everyone- can someone tell me if my 1992 300D has a strip fuse on it for the glow plug system, and where it might be? Also, are there any other strip fuses on the car, that aren't for the glow plugs?
I used to replace them on earlier Benz's that I had, but I can't find any on this 124.

Hi all at Mersedessource and Happy Holidays to you. I just received the diesel purge you sent me just in time for Christmas and I am dying to try it. I only have one question. Kent's instructions are very explicit but being retired from the training and education field people sometimes interpret differently no matter how precise the instructions. That said, my question is this. It appears that I will be feeding and returning the cleaner from the same bottle.
My 1977 280E seems to have a miss in it when it's hot. It's got new gas, new plugs and plug wires. Has Electronic Ignition. Fires up pretty easily but idles fast until it's put into gear, emmits a lot of smelly smoke (white/grey). Engine seems to stumble more when it's accelerated. Car sat for a 2 years before I got it. Could this be something with the vacuum system? Is there something that controls the idle speed as engine warms up and the engine timing that might have a leak or rotted off?
I have a 1977 280E. Wanted to know the normal operating temperature is for this car. The gauge reads between 80 and 40 (presume it's 60 degrees celsius). Please let me know what this should be reading.

n/a I have a 1990 420 SEL with a gas v-8.The car stalled last night.Let it sit about 10 min and it started back up.Drove about 10 min and it died again.Wrecker brought to Mech shop.They went out this morning and it started up.They could not get it to stall.I picked it up and drove it about 10 min and it died.Anyone have any ideas what I should tell them
I am a new member to this website, recently purchased a 1984 300D, great condition, lots of miles though, around 290k. everything works great including sun roof. The only inoperable thing is car is cruise control, any advice, what I should start looking for. Thanks
The plate that holds the tail light bulb sockets has one empty hole which lines up with a red lens cover on the tail light lens. I want to add a brake light socket and bulb in that opening to increase brake visability, which is not the brightest on the older MB. But, I read somewhere that if you do not use the proper brakelight bulbs, it will mess up the cruise control, and if I add two bulbs, will it mess it up.
