Problem with w116 280S carburetor

I own a 1976 W116 280S that used to run perfectly well but now problem is with its carburetor. Sometimes the float chamber has to be adjusted in order to run the engine and this is happening so frequently that I need a lasting solution to the problem. Otherwise at the rate which am experiencing the problem, I might get stuck right in the middle of nowhere.

head removal on 420 sel

I'm in the process of pulling the heads on my 420 sel, I have everything off and I'm trying to get the heads off the block. Any tricks to remove them. I have at least 2 bent valves from the timing chain rails breaking and the chain jumped 3 teeth on the left head and 5 on the right. Also I think I will pull the timing cover off to replace the chain because there are rail chunks down in the front, cover any good tips for that. thanks Lewis.

Replacing diesel pump-to-filter plastic hard lines

Hi-I installed a new style hand primer pump today- Thats the good news, bad news is when I disconnected the fuel line fitting near the primer pump, the hard plastic like fuel supply line coming from the main fuel filter snapped. That doesn't surprise me since it's probably 30 years old, and all these lines now seem as hard as a rock/brittle.They attach to a fitting having 3 or 4 'barbs' on them and do not use hose clamps at all as they are probably not under much pressure.

In-Line Fuse Question

I am upgrading my existing STC with a second tank and fuel boost pump. My original kit included the Fuel Sump heater, but did not include a relay with it. When I purchased the fuel boost heater, I used the relay included and wired it according to your DTC instructions. 1st Question - Since power is comming from the fuse boss which already has a fuse, do I need to use the in-line fuse supplied with the fuel boost pump? When I did the 10AMP fuse blew at the fuel sump heater. I'm confused since the power went through the fuse boss 10AMP fuse and did not blow this fues, but did blow the fuse at the rear heater.
