When buying, what do I look for?
I am trying to buy my first 1984 300 SD, and I don't know what is most important to be aware of to make a final judgment of whether to buy or not. Can you give me some advice?

The sunroof has worked just fine for the 5 years I've owned my 300SD, but two days ago the sunroof began to malfunction. It opens just fine, but now when it closes, the rear portion no longer jumps back up to make a flush seal with the roof.
Some other boards suggested that a plastic guide channel or rail may be damaged, but I don't know as of yet.
Please help!

1989 Mercedes benz 300SE the seatbelt light that looks like airplane buckle up symbol now blinks constantly this is really weird could someone help me?
I have an 84 300sd which I can't do anything to settle down the shaky engine during the rough idle. I ran 3 cans of diesel purge and that seemed to help while running Diesel Purge, but when back on WVO or diesel, the engine starts shaking. Is time to clean the injectors? What am I missing?
Air, fuel filters are new. Valve adjustment done. What next?
Thanks!
hi all,
how important is proper alignment?
my 300 sd is pulling fairly hard to the right and i'm wondering if it is worth it, or how soon, i should have it aligned. what problems can be caused by poor alignment? i live in the country and drive on a pretty poor road every time i go anywhere, will it become misaligned very quickly?
I am going to install the stanadyne filter for my SVO/WVO single tank conversion but I was wondering what is the best angle to install it. I was thinking one or two ways 1)Lying along side the wheel well in the engine compartment or get it up in 90 degree angle with some sort of bracket? Laying along the top of the wheel well at an angle will that cause some air to get into the system or will the primer take care of that once the system is full of fuel?
