300D Replacement Axle Spacers
Do the replacement axles, the can style, include the spacers between them and the differential? I asked a while ago about having on spline stlye and one can style, and you said it probably wasn't harming too much. Now I have the money and would like to replace both axles, but to make the wrong (which I didnt know at the time) stlyle axle fit, I had to remove the spacer. I'm dead in the water if I remove the rear end and find out the axle doesn't fit due to a missing spacer.

1981 240d level control pump
I'm replacing the engine in my 1981 240d sedan. I've found a decent engine but it has a level control pump. Is there anyway to bypass or remove? Thanks for the help.

Preventive maintenance, avoid catastrophic failure, '82 300D
Hi,
I purchased today an '82 300D Mercedes with 150k miles for $1500, but there are no maintenance records that came with the car.
The car is running fine, but because I have no history, I prefer to assume that none of the maintenance is up to date.
Beside the obvious fluid and filter changes, WHAT ELSE I NEED TO DO TO AVOID CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURES?
Is it possible to get a list or point me to one if it is already answered?
Thanks, Mike

1985 300D running hot
My 1985 300D always has been running on the cool side(barely hitting 80C)
Ordered a thermostat with a recent MB Source order and finally installed the other day while doing regular maintenance.Re-filled with MB coolant50/50 H20 and now it runs hot! (95-97C). What should I suspect first?
Thanks,
Michael

It may not be a rare item, but I have yet to find it.
Thanks in advance

1984 300D front pipe replacement
Hi all, hope everyone is healthy and enjoying the new year. I am in the middle of replacing the front pipe on my 1984 300D Turbodiesel. This is the pipe that has some accordion flex incorporated into it and runs from the back of the turbo to the pipe of the resonator situated just under the passenger footwell. My question: Is the seal ring or "donut" the same type on both ends of this pipe secton?
Thanks for any help.
