A quick question: the fuel return hose (cigar shaped) running off of my main fuel filter is failing. When I replace it, do I bleed the system like I would when I replace my pre-filter? Or, is there something else I should do? Thanks.
I've been running WVO for over a year now on a competitors system. Finally i got fed up with both the poor engine performance and my secondary WVO tank with heat exchanger built in. (I was starting to get scum build up in the tank from the constant heating and cooling inside. I also have problems with leaks and the fact that it made the temperature of my trunk rise to over 90% after a few hours was getting to me). I pulled out the system and replaced it with a system from mercedessource.com and I get a miracle. The electric boost pump and sump heater supplied by mercedescource are amazing.
I am thinking of buying at a 1980 300 cd turbo . The engine starts fine but it will not rev/drive until it warms up for 5 minutes. Is this something as simple as a thermostat stuck open or possibly a binding turbo. The odometer says it has 160K miles, the oil pressure is about half way between the 1 and 2 when warm.
Thanks,
Peter
Help! Live in Hawaii and need rear 300d coupe windows. The window rails that hold in the glass have rotted out, preventing me from closing the windows. And, yes it rains pleanty here.
Does anyone know of any salvage spots or folks with a dead coup?
Please send me any tips!

Hello out there, I have an '83 300td wagon and I have lost braking,
I replaced the master, bled the lines, & replaced calipers. Could a bad booster or vacuum pump give the symptom of pedal-to-the-floor?
Everything I've read and know from past experience says no it should just be a "hard press". please help!!!
thank you
I currently own a 1979 300D which has a "worn and scorn" cam. The rocker arms near the front are worn also. This engine has the "00" cam installed. I was given a newer cam and rockers by a friends dad. It is the "05" cam which is the newer "hardened" cam with higher lift. Can this cam and rockers be used in my 300D with engine:
617.912 1207. Too the newer cam has the MB Emblem stamped in it along with the 617 05 between the number 3 and 4 cam lobes.
Help someone......Kent?
I am replacing the axles on my 300D the CV joint went out after the boot started leaking. When I go to order the new axles it gives me a choice of an Annular Joint or a Homokinetic Joint. The pictures that they supply on the web don't look any different and neither looks like the ones I have. Mine have the cans around the ends Like the boot kit sold here. How do I tell which axle I have
