88 190d no heat on feet
my 1988 190d does not blow out heat on the feet.What could be the problem?my 1984 300d also has same problem no heat blowing out on floor.Vacuum problem?

I've replaced the glow plugs, strap fuse, glow plug relay and the ignition switch on my 79 300D. Intermittently, she doesn't start in PARK ( glow plug indicator light goes on , but doesn't start when the key is turned)-- If I shift to NEUTRAL, she starts fine. I pay attention to the warnings this" Panzerwagen" gives me , so I'm thinking that there's some glitch in the neutral safety switch.
Am I on the right track? Please excuse potentially incorrect terminology- I'm no expert, which id why I subscribe to this helpful forum.

I know there is a remedy for this..but I can't find it on here again. My 84 300D starts right up cold, no problem. But after I turn it off and try to restart..the engine just turns over without starting unless I turn the key off then immediately turn the key on again..starts right up...anyone know the answer..? Thanks for any help !!
Will the tach from a 420SEL work in a 1983 SD? Because I have the rear axle of a 420 in my 83 300SD I am using the speedometer from the 420 for accurate reading already. The original tach and clock are not working I know that the plug in is different, but are there any other issues to consider?
Hi have a question about an 1984 300D. HVAC fan comes on when your first turn the key to run, then after starting the car it shuts off and wont come on again ever. If you click the key back just a little it comes on. What do you think?
Can the flex discs be replaced without removing the drive shaft? Do you sell the discs with instructions to fit this car?
Checked compression with engine cold one year ago. For this test I started at the front and went straight down the line to the back. Results were 370 - 370 - 370 - 290 - 330. Today I tested the engine warmed up and instead of going down the line I tested each cylinder in firing order. For this test the results were 310 - 310 - 310 - 220- 310.
I have a 76' 300D that I have to back off of the gas pedal to make the shift from 2nd to third. The 2nd to third shift will NOT happen unless I cause it with the gas pedal. The 3rd to 4th shift works better and will sometimes shift by itself without me backing off of the pedal. All the shifts happen in the indicated spots on the speedo, more or less, the kickdown into 1st operates just fine and the trans goes into drive and reverse with little to no hesitation. Trans has aprox. 175K on it.
Is there a linkage I can adjust to fix this, or is it a sign of my trans slowly going? To my knowledge this year trans did not have any vacuum hook-ups.
Is there a way to adjust the transmission to start in 1st gear rather than 2nd gear without down shifting? Thanks.
