I recently installed the Meyle oil pan you sell on your website on my 300D. I'm planning to purchase your oil pan heater kit too, but before I do, I wanted to make sure it would work. You warn that the heater won't work on a "ribbed" oil pan, and the Meyle pan does have a few indentations in it. Should I consider that "ribbed," or no? Thanks!

I've got a non-turbo 190D, 1986, 255k, that was running well. I had some small leaks on the top of the injector pump, so I replaced the orings/seals. After reassembling it, I had a major Knock at just above idle to 1500 or so, and no power/more smoke, as well as an "up and down" idle. I then pulled all the injectors, cleaned them, pressure tested(all from 1600 to 1700), and put a new monark nozzle in #3.
This didn't solve anything, knock is still there, maybe slightly worse.
I've replaced both fuel filters. I've run diesel purge through the system, which does quiet it down. But it comes back when on the main system.
Any ideas where to go from here? Should I replace the knozzles? Could I have messed up the delivery valve seal setup(not sure how, but).
I have completed a valve adjustment and replaced the valve cover gasket. After running the car, oil can be seem around the edge of the gasket where it meets the engine block. The bolts are tight and I donot understand why there is a leak. The gasket was obtained from a OEM operation. Should I get a gasket from the dealer? Have other people experience this problem?
My zebrano? dash wood that covers the climate control is warped, or cupped. I have the recommended adhesive, and it's worked great on some of the long rectangular pieces of dash trim. I was looking for some advice before I try oiling up the piece of trim and weighing it down with a stack of books.
Any ideas?
I am having a 'rough idle' issue I cannot seem to resolve; I will categorize as mild because I have worked on a two 240D (1980, 1981) and I was able to perform the recommended maintenance to have them idle very smoothly.
Additionally, hard initial start or it quits right after initial startup, then I am getting a blue smoke from the exhaust at the initial startup and for about 10 minutes before complete warmup.
Here is what I have done up to this point using the manuals, advice, and parts from mercedessource:
How is this removed? Special tool(s) required? I need to do some rust repair and it looks as if I can leave the rear window in place and just R and R the molding. Probably will have to buy new molding??
There isn't a glass shop here in Baja (Tijuana area) that I trust and I sure cannot afford to take it to the states.

My driver’s side hood at the hinge is slightly elevated above the fender. Is there an adjustment for this or is it fixed and thus requiring a hinge replacement? Thanks, Bill
1974 240D - How do you access the blower fan for the heating system and is there a switch to change between heat and AC?
