My manual windows are very hard to roll up or down. Any suggestions in making these windows easier to roll up or down?

Looks like I am in need of a starter change....woke up this morning and my 83 300SD will click but not turn over. It is usually sluggish on cold mornings, but early this AM I turned the key to nothing. I have a starter coming in and wanted to know if there are any special techniques or tools required to change this part? Looks like I am going at it from the underside, any help before I get dirty would be appreciated.

My 1974 240D 115 has an oil bath filter. What type of maintenance does this type filter require?
Flooring the accelerator pedal does not engage the kickdown switch on the automatic transmission. The pedal reaches its stop before the rod under the pedal can depress the switch. I tested the switch and it is good. Can I adjust the control pressure rod to allow more accelerator movement without damaging the transmission or throwing it out of adjustment? Is this adjustment easy to do?
My gifted 82 300d seems to have cancer of the electrical systems. First windows, then blowers and heat/cool, now locks. Where do I start looking (Seems to originate in the panel between the seats)? Is this too much for a mech head girl with no time and no garage in a cold place? Car came from my brothers estate, know he replaced a lot of engine parts, hate to dump it, but need to be realistic.
My blower stopped working. Sometimes in the past when I restarted the car, the blower would work again. Recently I replced the ignition module, however the blower was working before and after the repair. How can I be sure the blower motor should be reoplaced before I buy a new one (appears they are expensive - $416).
I believe I'll have to order your can style axle drive shaft, Item: SRG-COMNRAS. After hearing a loud knocking noise, sounding like a loose U-joint, I discovered both boots torn on the left axle. No idea how long they've been this way. I cannot make the axle move to show looseness by hand and the knocking is not all the time while driving. The left axle is the can style. The right axle is the bolted spyder cover style. The boots are not torn through yet, but show cracking. Do you sell replacement boots for this style? I was not able to find this specifically on the web site.
After I changed my automatic transmission fluid and filter the car seems to shift into reverse hard and shifting into 4th,unless I'm standing on it, shifts soft. Could I have moved something?
Quick question...what engine/fuel supply parts are common between these two? Browsing through the catalog, looks like the injector crush washers are different, glow plugs are different, mail fuel filter different.
My main question...are the injector nozzles & injectors the same (but perhaps w/different pressures?)? If the injectors are different (visually, hardlines look smaller on OM603), are at least the nozzles the same?

I have a 1980 300SD in which was installed an aftermarket (Blaupunkt) radio. The left front speaker is the only one which currently works. I have checked continuity on the other speakers: there appears to be none. I also receive only a couple of stations, suggesting the antenna connection to be poor. I suspect that all of these connections were violated when the previous owner had the car repainted. Where do the wires for the other three speakers run? what would be the easiest way to access the speaker and re-establish wiring to the radio chassis?
Thanks,
