I've got a 1983 240D sedan with electric sunroof. I've cleaned/lubed slides and cable. Sunroof goes all the way back without cable attached (by hand) but only 2/3rds back with cable attached. Could someone have put in a wagon cable? Are there different lengths between sedan and wagon cables? The reason I ask is that there's a wagon fuel sender in the tank so maybe PO had an old wagon and used parts for this sedan. Or is there something else stopping the travel?

-I have a 90 300d 2.5 turbo. The number 2 cylinder pre chamber is leaking compression by it. I can see it comeing out the top of around the prechamber special nut on the out side of it where theres that lil gap. -Has any body had this happen and how did u fix it? -I see i need a special tool to get the top nut out, is there other special tools i will need? -What kind of damage may have this caused to the cylinder head? I have had a 1987 300TDT diesel wagon (w124) for one year. It has 185,000 miles. I don't know whether replacing the Accumulator Cells would improve the quality of the ride, since I don't know what it should feel like. The rear end doesn't sag, and the self-leveling system works. Do the Accumulator Cells degrade the quality of the ride gradually, over time, or do they just break and you know it immediately, due to a bouncy ride? thanks

I was wondering if anyone knew what type of oil a 1983 240D stick shift trans takes. Does Mercedes have a particular type of oil that they want used like their coolant? Or can I just use any type of higher quality manual trans oil?
