84 300d switching out odometer

At the time that I bought my '84 300D recently, the spedometer was inoperative (pegged to max) and a few of the other instruments did not work (although the odometer did work), so I sent the whole cluster off for repair and bought a used cluster in good operating condition (for $25!) and installed it. Now the repair service has sent back the old one saying it can't be repaired (they only work on later electronic instruments). Problem is, my car has 124,000 actual miles on it, as indicated by the original odometer; and the replacement cluster came from a donor car with 277,000 miles on it.

79 240d breif power increase?

So I was out running around town and the 240 was its normal slow self when all of a sudden I had a power increase for about ten minutes. Accelerating and driving I could tell a very very noticeable difference. And as fast as the change happened it was gone again. Its never done that before or again. Really though I was maintaining speeds up steep hills that I normally loose 7 mph on! The fuel filters are about 6 months old and I run power service diesel treatment in every tank.

Damper plate issues 617 turbo 80 300td

Hello, I have searched many forums for an answer to my problem, I need help with. I was driving on the highway and lost my power steering, alternator and water pump(temp. climbing)pulled it over and found the crank pulley as well as all other pully's not turning (obviously). I took the car home after it cooled down for a few hours to have a look. I took off the rad a\c condensor, belts and fan/pulley. After the belts came off the harmonic damper/ main pulley assembly pretty much fell off. The large bolt (27mm) was broken with some still remaining in the crank.

1982 300D Mercedes dies under load

Was recommended by others to reach out to you for help. I own a 1982 300D that is stalling when under a load The car started stalling when I came to a stop. I figured it was a good time to park it and replace rear cv's. 3 weeks have gone by and I have been having starting issues ever since. I first replaced both the primary and secondary fuel filters, next drained and boiled out fuel tank, blew out fuel lines, removed, cleaned, and replaced 2 of the 5 injectors, checked for any vacum leaks, and lastly fiddled with injector pump adjustment.
