I held on to the turn signal arm after making a turn, now the arm will not click back in normal use.I tried pulling off the steering column cover but could not get it removed. What did I break, and what's the fix? 1984 201
The key won't turn the ign.I'm to the point of replacing the ign. switch.i've never replaced this switch before. Can you give me some advice on the best, and easyest way to do this? Thank you.
I have a 1988 190d 2.5 liter NA. I started the car like normal except that the brake pedal was very stiff as though the power brakes had stopped working. Also when i went to turn off the car it kept running so i hit the manual stop on the fuel pump. So the problems are simultaneous. I heard that it is a possible bad vacuum but im not sure please help. thank you.
Greetings! I posted here recently about not being able to open the trunk or fuel door on my son's 1987 190D. The other day I borrowed a hand vacuum pump and drove over to his college to try to fix it. I found the actuator under the rear seat, disconnected the yellow tube that runs to the back and pulled a vacuum on it--still couldn't get into either. I'm sorry to say I had to take a hacksaw blade to the little stob that locks the fuel door. But I DON'T want to mess up his trunk latch, so do you have any suggestions on how I can get in?
My son is away at college with my 1987 190D. The trunk used to open, but lately the keyhole is in the horizontal position, the button will push in, but the trunk won't open. Yesterday he called and says that now the fuel filler door has locked itself and won't open. He's almost out of fuel and is threatening to take a hacksaw to it! Is this a vacuum problem? What should I do?
