1980 300SD Speedo cable voltage??
1980 300SD the speedometer cable gets very hot in a short period of time and starts smoking? What is going on? Very Strange. Any ideas?

86 SDL TURBO My Rears are better but now I have a water problem!
OK I fixed my rear suspension with help from here
and I fixed my seat for my rear with the seat fixer from here.
Great instructions and as Kent says "try the seat before installing"
Trully a HUGE differance....
But (no joke intended)
I discovered that the carpet was soaking wet at the two fastening points
at the back of the seat.
We had some rain so I thought that was the issue.
Dried everything and reinstalled the seat
(make sure you put the plastic trim on 1st)
Drove around and guess what ?
It was wet again!!!

Hooking up 5/16 hose to change mineral oil in SLS on 300td
Trying to hook up hose to change fluid in SLS system on my 82 wagon. I am missing something. Cannot get nut off of line that goes into canister. Just got my fluid and filter and was hoping to do it this weekend.

85 300TD fuel sending unit removal
My fuel gauge does not work. It used to read about 1/4, but now doesn't read at all. I read a post here about cleaning the sending unit, but cannot find it. Is there a diagram available of the wiring for the unit? What do I have to remove to get to it on an 85 300TD with a rear seat?

84 500 SEL slow engine start-up

My engine cranks for 8 - 10+ seconds before s-l-o-o-w-l-y catching on. Then it sputters for several seconds until I give it some gas to clear it out. I got this car 2 weeks ago and the previous owner said, "do not touch the accelerator pedal until it starts." It seems like it's flooding. This happens when hot,or cold. He also said to change the plugs and it would run well.
Runs fine on highway but seems to eat lots of gas (14 mpg?). 211,680 miles on Od. Original paint and leather in very good condition.

Well Thanks to Kent and the Angels
My rear end is like new!
(knock it off, I mean't the car!! :>}
Front end is alittle sloppy so I'm Treating Opus
to a new Front end and
await the rebuild kit from Santa(aka MercedesSource)
Anyone have any tips, things I should watch for?
