'76 300D Can't open trunk

I was troubleshooting the vacuum system and removed the bracket that holds the trunk lock actuator in place. Went in to get a glass of water and a not-so-helpful family member shut the trunk.

I can turn the key to my heart's content - it moves very freely because there's nothing holding the actuator in place. I have absolutely NO CLUE how to get in to the trunk now.

123 79' warped window regulators

I just got kent's nifty door panel remover manual and got to work on both my rear doors. neither of the rear electric windows work. i discovered that the aluminum window regulators are totally warped-so much so that on one side the motor was jammed and on the other the teeth on the regulator are worn way down. they were even really, really hard to get out of the door 'cause they are so bent. thankfully, both the motors seem to work, now that they are free from the jammed, warped mechanism.

'79 wagon lower trim fix

yesterday the lower trim (rubber 'n chrome) strip fell off my driver's side door. the front end of the trim piece seems to have a little clip that is rusty but intact, but the rear end of the trim piece just has a rusty hole on its back side. i popped the little cover off the rear bottom of the passenger side door to see what it *should* look like and there is a little nut that seems to connect to a small threaded pin that is attached to the trim piece. obviously, that threaded pin has rusted away from my passenger-side trim piece. do you sell a replacement part for this, or do i need to A) buy a new (or used) whole piece of trim or B) jerry-rig something?

instructions for installing new door adjustment switch on '82 300SD

I ordered this kit from Mercedes Source. You have to solder in the wires into this kit for a new electrical switch for the drivers power seat adjustment. But it didn't come with instructions. I have done soldering before but I would like a few tips on how to do this right the first time without messing anything up. For one thing, there is no crimping involved right? Aside from a soldering iron, I shouldn't need any special tools right?
