Fuse #14 keeps blowing. Here are the electrical issues I've noticed:
1. The car will only start in neutral.
2. The glow plug buzzer does not go on (but the glow plug light works).
3. After the buzzer stops working the AC blows hot only.
Fuse #14 certainly could impact the AC because according to the fuse diagram it controls "control unit/water pump/heating water valve for climate control system.....". But what about the neutral safety switch and the glow plug buzzer?
fuses checked-power coming to seat control module. 12v applied to seat motors-run fine. ohmmeter check of wires from door-mounted seat switch to control module-all fine. This leaves seat control module- disassembled and re-soldered all connections-seats still not functioning. What am I missing?
Thanks, John
My family is preparing to move to Delaware from Oklahoma. As I understand it, Delaware is in the "Rust Belt." I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to prevent rust problems before they happen. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

My '82 w126 300sd center console rear vent (the one that exits out the back of the center console facing rear seat passengers) has been stuck open and when I pulled vent, I discovered why. Upon reinstalling, I have no vent function and it seems cable is now disconnected on the other end (front of car) the question is, where is the other end and where/how do I access? Thanks Kent!
I have found getting these little clips on the axle while on my back under the car incredibly difficult. Any helpful hints on how to get this clip on the axle? Any tools that would help?
My mechanical door locks work well -from the inside of the car, at least. I cannot unlock either doors from the outside, using my key. It looks as if the key doesn't travel far enough do disengage them.) I'm thinking there must be some problem with adjustment of the two long arms that travel from the lock mechanism to the interior door locking lever? This problem is driving me a little batty.
The vacuum locks don't work, either, but I'm thinking that's a separate problem to be resolved AFTER the mechanical locking issue.
