1976 300D, How to remove battery tray
How do you remove the battery tray? I removed the two bolts, but it still seems to be attached to the inner fender.

I have purchased new weather-stripping from my Mercedes dealer for my 1974 240D 115. I removed the old weather-stripping on the front passenger door and tried to install. After carefully pushing the new weather-stripping in the door channels. The weather-stripping didn’t quite fit. About 3” to long. Is there any way to “shrink” the weather-stripping before the install? Or should I just return and order another. Any tips would be helpful.
Thanks,
Eric
Hello
It's been nearly a year since I sold my last Mercedes (1981 240D - my fourth diesel Benz since 1996) to pay for my honeymoon.
Anywho, it's project time again, and I'm picking up a 1971 220D this weekend that will need a LOT of love. It's a southern car that has been up here in the northeast for about ten years (only driven here the first five). It's got rust (looks fixable to me so far) and is definitely a long term project, but I couldn't pass up a running 4-speed manual W115 diesel at the price.
I will be replacing the front and rear rotors, should I also replace the bearings and seals? or is there a way to inspect them first?
While I have the calipers off, should I rebuild them? or is these a way to inspect them first?
Thanks,
Eric
