Primer Pump location on 1975 300d?
Just picked up a W115 300d which should translate into more orders for MercedesSource! Where is the primer pump on the 75 car? Does not appear to have one?

Quick Question - Can I remove the engine(dead motor) from a '75 W115 300D and replace with a long block turbo OM617 (will not be using turbo set up-just long block minus turbo) and then swap over all the W115 specifics, oil filter housing, IP,manifolds etc, motor mount arms, etc. Easy or is there something I am forgetting? Thanks!
removed the rear bumper and associated rubber trim pieces because the black trim piece running the length of the bumper was loose. Further investigation revealed it's time to conduct some corrosion control on all the metal parts.
Looking inside the bumper one bumper shock has separated from the bumper. I plan to just drill holes and bolt the bumper and shock back together. However, the bumper is severely corroded where the bumper and bumper shock contact, possibly a case of dissimilar metal contact.
After approximately 2 weeks of sitting, I started my 75 300D for a few minutes to move another out of the garage. Then about 1/2 hour later I started again to move back in the garage (ran engine for no more than 2 minutes). Next morning she wouldn't start. Would crank and blow black smoke (more than normal) but wouldn't start. Pushed out and let sit in the sun for an hour. Restarted, runs fine.
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.
Will the brake calipers interchange with the following cars:
1975 280S; 1979 450SL; 1979 300SD; 1985 300D?
They all appear to be the same, is there more I need to know other than the bolt pattern? Thank you.
I bought this car for my daughter with only 83K miles. Compression is good at 165- 170 PSI on all four cylinders (cold). I have tuned it up with new Bosch plugs (non platinum), cap, wires and new injectors. I also replaced the fuel pump, filter and reserve chamber for hot starts (the name escapes me right now). The car runs great but the fuel injection system doesn't kick up the RPM's when cold. I'm assuming its something in the Bosch CIS system, but parts are very dear and I don't want to throw money at a guess. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
My automatic door looks just stopped working (all of them), everything else is fine. Where do I start? Where is the vacuum controller for the locks?
thanks
