81 240D Voltage regulator weirdness?
Ever since I installed a Monark voltage regulator, the electrical system in my '81 240D has developed a habit that it didn't have before.

I will be replacing the front and rear rotors, should I also replace the bearings and seals? or is there a way to inspect them first?
While I have the calipers off, should I rebuild them? or is these a way to inspect them first?
Thanks,
Eric
Hey- I am new so please forgive any faux pas-After fueling up, suddenly would not upshift, but if moved to neutral after reaching shift point or higher rpm would slip into higher gears upon shifting back into D- your manuals on this subject seem to only cover diesels up to 1985- can you direct me to appropriate manual/technique/parts/etc I am guessing vacuum trouble but know nothing more on subject- thus I would also like a primer on the vacuum system in general-Thanks!
while working on another issue under the hood, i noticed oil dripping from the bottom of my turbo's boost pressure control valve housing. i have determined that the oil is not coming from anywhere else higher on the block. the turbo spools up fine, but the garage floor is getting wet. do i have to rebuild the turbo or is there a simpler fix?
my '82 300D stumbles when starting in hot or cold weather. i replaced the glow plugs and reamed the pre-chambers. they had minimal carbon build-up. i checked engine (1 degree stretch) and IP timing (24 degress BTDC) and they are both ok. compression is 24+ bar across all cylinders with 96k original miles on the clock. injector release pressure is low (1750 psi) and i plan to replace the nozzles and bump the pop pressures to 1950 psi. could the low pop pressures be the root cause for the stumble starts, or is there something else i need to check?
I am putting in my new balanced injectors and injection pump stub shaft o-rings. I took off the crossover pipe to gain access to the third injector and just give me more room to put hard lines back in after cleaning them off course. I found that there is an oily gunk in the cross over pipe and the intake should I be worried about my turbo? I do have a small oil leak from the turbo (the only oil leak on the car) are the doughnuts bad turbo getting bad ect. Should I take the intake off and clean it and get a new intake gasket soon?
