There is oil clogging the air filter. There is a product called Envalve, that fits on the valve cover to remedy this problem. Do you know of this product? I understand that the rings are worn creating this problem, is this engine on its way out or is there something else I can do to extend it's life? Thanks

1986 300 SDL Turbo Diesel /Purge before new injector install?
I've become the proud owner of an 1986 300sdl turbo!
and have begun doing my part to advance Kent's great place here.
The motor has 151000 miles and appears in good shape(little or no smoke/pickup/etc)
I've ordered new injectors in my excitement and other stuff before realizing that Purging is a good preventative maintence.(Came from a gas home)
will purging before installing the new injectors be of benefit?

1984 300D replacing starter solenoid
after replacing the starter soeniod i hooked up the positive battery cable first and when i went to hook up the negative battery cable the starter was energized with out the key even being in the ignition.
why is it shorting out?

1983 300DT 123--New Compressor/Fuses ok/Air won't work
We have replaced the compressor,dryer, and the fuses are ok. The Air Conditioner will not work. What should we check next? Someone suggested Climate Control. Where is it located?

617 Injector return line replacement
Greetings, all.
I've got all the parts I need to replace the fuel injector return lines on my 617 engine, but I'm not sure what tools I should have and what procedures I need to follow. Most that I've read says I only need a pair of needle nose pliers, but this seems too simple to me. Is it really just a matter of pulling the old guys out and pushing the new ones in?
