Can't get in the trunk!
Have a 1969 220D (for sale by the way) but the tumbler is stuck and won't unlock, the key just spins in the lock. And of course I can't get in the trunk now. Any tips aside from C4 Plastique?

76 300D power steering noise
My mother's 76 300D has started to make a squealing sound when the car is turned. It seems to be temperature sensitive in that it has started and is worse now in the colder weather. It does not squeal when it first leaves the heated garage. My first thought was a loose belt as I had replaced all the belts 2 months ago. I did tighten it, even though it was not very loose. My only experience in pumps going bad is that they start to leak. Can a bad pump start to turn hard and make the belt squeal?

Replacing diesel pump-to-filter plastic hard lines
Hi-I installed a new style hand primer pump today- Thats the good news, bad news is when I disconnected the fuel line fitting near the primer pump, the hard plastic like fuel supply line coming from the main fuel filter snapped. That doesn't surprise me since it's probably 30 years old, and all these lines now seem as hard as a rock/brittle.They attach to a fitting having 3 or 4 'barbs' on them and do not use hose clamps at all as they are probably not under much pressure.

Injecter pump oil?
On my 74 240d there is a red cap on the injecter pump. When i unscrewed this cap it appears that there is room for oil in there. Is there supposed to be oil in the pump and if so what kind of oil?? Is it bad to drive it without oil? It runs like a top so I'm kind of curious about this.

intermittent power loss 115 240d 1975
Hi- my 240d (manual transmission) has occasional fits of very poor acceleration. I can run 70mph easily on the highway, but at times when I move away from a stop sign, or start out up a hill, I can barely get the car to move away from a stop. I changed the pre -filter and main filter elements under the hood, have not changed the filter in the tank yet. Also, at times, maybe 5 to 10 seconds after startup, the engine will stall, even with the idle adjuster speed high. When this happens it seems I have to give additional throttle more than usual to increase engine speed.
