Rear suspension 1987300SDL & 1982 300SD

I have 1982 300SD with about 250K and a 1987 300SDL with about 400K on original engine. Same problem with each. Get excessive tire wear on inside of rear tires. Have replaced axles, rear wheel bearings, spring seats and installed HD Bilstein shocks. Problem is improved but still get wear inside. Do not carry excess weight in trunk.

what do I need for my 87 300d rear end ??? lol

Hey guys I have purchased a few things here over the years and I am glad to see a forum! This is great! My question is... What do I need for the rear suspension of my 87 300d? I can see worn bushings on both side but I do not know what they are? The car does not clunk or make any noise.

103 Engine Quit Fix Guide

I am currently writing a diagnostic guide on how to troubleshoot and repair all the reasons why the 103 engine can quit on you. This 6 cylinder single cam gas engine was installed in the 190E 2.6, 300E, 300TE and 300CE. This guide will cover issues such as not starting at all, quitting cold, starting and then quitting, quitting slowly and just plain quitting whenever it feels like.

Drowned my 300td Help!

Hi: I Live in NE New York & we got hit with flash flooding last Thur. To make a long story short, I drove into a "puddle" that was halfway up my door panel when the car stopped. It didn't sit long as I got pushed out, but... The air filter was soaking wet & water poured out of the turbo when I took the "U" thing off. The starter was fried & now "finally" replaced after many frustrating hours to get 2 bolts out. Anyway, I still can't get it started. Anybody have any ideas of the sequence of diagnosis/repair I should follow that would be applicable to my unsuccessful attempt at turning my wagon into a submarine? Thanks & Happy Thanksgiving!
