Nice to have a few extra 13mm sockets around. This is the first tool that gets lost when working on old Mercedes. The tall shoulder inside helps to hold the nut or bolt in a position to make it easier to start the threads.
It is really frustrating when you doing a job on your Benz and find it needs a 16mm or 18mm tool and you don't have it. Most of the older sets of wrenches and sockets did not include these two sizes. Just before and after 2000 Mercedes started using more of these size nuts and bolts.

If you are working on engine valve cover oil leaks, plan to replace these hoses unless they have been recently (last five years) changed. More often than not, they can not be reused.

These seals getting totally neglected. I consider the bottom one the "forgotten" seal on these engines. They can be very frustrating to change out if you don't know the right sequence.
This very common wear part is easy to inspect and easy to replace if you know how to loosen the drive belt. You do not need to take the belt all the way off - just drop the top down.
This pulley is usually replaced when you replace a worn-out and high-mileage water pump. If your pump is good and you just need to replace the pulley, you can do this very quickly by just loosening and dropping the drive belt.
You will not believe the difference a new cap can make in terms of ease of removal. It wont last forever due to age and heat. So when it starts getting hard to remove you can just replace the seal and put a little oil on it! What a great kit!!!
You will have to remove the drive belt to change this pulley. Once that is done replacement is easy. The free video instructions by Kent will show you how to do this as well as the proper way to remove and replace the drive serpentine belt.
You will love this set of long combiination wrenches. Nice plating, smooth surface and thin heads to get into tight places.
Any time you remove the W220 front door panel, you have to remove the wood trim piece. Any time you remove the wood trim, you will likely need to replace the clips if you want the wood to fit tight. The video below will show you how to remove and replace the wood and the clips.

This is a common preventative replacement item as these engines age. No instructions are available at this time but there is plentiful information online to guide you in replacement.
Think age here. Many of these shifters on our classic Mercedes are starting to get loose inside the shifter, and when the old bushings fail, you will get a lot of slop side to side when you shift between gears. Note: These bushings are different from the bushing that go on the shift levers.

This is the Febi Bilstein green 06161 power steering fluid for your M112 and M113 engines. You will need about 1.5 liters to do a complete flush. What about Petosin fluid, you may ask. Watch the video, and Kent explains why he uses this fluid as a direct replacement.

In this 6+ minute video, Kent will demonstrate how to locate and cut out 3-inch (approx.) holes in your trunk carpet to allow you to remove the bolts and the wire attached to the top of your ABC strut. Then you can replace it or install coil-over shocks in their place.

This clip is unique to these engines. The picture below will show you where it is attached to the fluid outlet tube on the tank. This is a genuine Mercedes part.

In this 6-minute instructional video Kent will show you how fully bleed the air out of the power steering system on an M112 or M113 engine so you can get rid of that annoying squeal when you turn the wheel. This happens after doing a flush or replacing a power steering pump.
If your clutch is making growling noise when you push the pedal in these are the parts you need to fix it. You might want to consider replacing the pressure plate and disc while you have the transmission out.

These are the critical seals that go on the D-jetronic fuel injectors. If they leak air, your engine with idle high, start poorly and run lean, which can damage the pistons. We recommend you replace these whenever you remove and replace the injectors.
