75 300D Oil Filter
Just replaced the oil filter DIY first time. I didn't see where one of the small pressure washers should be installed. Also, how do you replace the pressure washer between the bolt and the filter housing? Thanks.

What activates the Electric Radiator Auxiliary Fan Motor and when should it be running?
Hi i was wondering if i should drive with my choke knob on as at idol the car barely shakes at all or should i turn it off when the engine is warm Thanks
Fuse #14 keeps blowing. Here are the electrical issues I've noticed:
1. The car will only start in neutral.
2. The glow plug buzzer does not go on (but the glow plug light works).
3. After the buzzer stops working the AC blows hot only.
Fuse #14 certainly could impact the AC because according to the fuse diagram it controls "control unit/water pump/heating water valve for climate control system.....". But what about the neutral safety switch and the glow plug buzzer?
Since buying the car in 2004 I've always gotten 24-28 MPG city/highway/air on/air off. She's always be a quick start after I replaced the glow plugs in 2004. She charges down the highway as smooth as silk. A great traveling car.
The car sat idle last year while I was overseas. Since getting back home MPG has dropped to 10. No kidding, 10 MPG. I have changed all filters; air/ both fuel and oil. The car starts right up, idles nice, no smoke, no sputtering or hesitation while running or starting.
I've checked and replaced bad vacuum connections in the engine compartment. I have added diesel fuel additives in the tank, with no positive effect.
I've ordered the purge kit and will try that when it arrives.

My diesel starts great idles on all 5 no miss but when you start going down the road she misses intermittently at lower rpm quits at mid and high range rpm until she is up to temperature then she's fine she doesn't smoke and she has power up the kazoo any idea's? I have run 2 can of diesel purge set the valves no change. Bad injector maybe?

After running WVO (2 tank mercedessource system) for 15,000 miles, i decided to pull out my injectors (monarch nozzles) clean them and bench test them. They all pop between 1850-1950 psi. I also, changed the copper washers and o rings on my injection pump and reemed/replaced glow plugs and glow plug relay.

I just replaced the fuel filters and now the engine will not shut off. What did I do wrong?
My 86 300SDL has be doing 24-28 mpg for the past 6 years, but recently is has dropped to 14 mpg after sitting idle for 6 months. I replace the fuel in the tank with fresh fuel but mpg dropped significantly.
Now it will not shut off. What to do?
I'm having an issue with my A/C compressor belt on my 85 300td. It keeps coming loose.
When I bought the car 2 months ago, the belt was missing completely and I was not sure if the A/C worked or not. I installed a new conti belt. The a/c works perfectly except after 200 miles or so the belt comes loose. Yesterday I checked the belt and now it looks slightly chewed up on one side.
I'm not sure if the problem is A/C pulley or something else.
