Installed new blower motor brushes today on my w126 '82 300sd -mine were worn down to nubs n(car has almost 400k on it) and I think the little brush springs had nothing to push against due to wear, Interestingly, I was able to operate blower with direct current from battery outside of the car on a vice but I think there was enough resistance in the car via internal wiring to prevent blower from operating. Car all cool -thanks Kent!
I purged the injectors system with your system/purge, since then I have a slow diesel leak I cannot find?? It is in the engine compartment but not from the connections I had to change for the purge. Were can I look for other leaks?
Lower coolant line leaking at the radiator. Got the two lines unscrewed at both ends and the clamp removed. Is it possible to remove these lines without lifting the left side of the engine and removing the motor mount?
If the mount must be unbolted, is it possible to remove just the screws that attach the motor mount arm to the engine and then just the motor up to slide the lines over the arm and under the engine?
Hi Kent, why would I have oil in the bottom of my air cleaner housing after air filter is removed? The circuit is simple, blowby travels up and out VC into oil separator which then flows back down drain tube to sump. I have poured fresh oil down tube and it definitely drains -this one has me stumped! Thank you!

My 82 300SD with 202,000 miles has been running hotter than it should be at highway speeds above 70 MPH. Not at red line but uncomfortably above the 100 degree mark and at 110 degrees ambient was getting close to red line last summer. At slower speeds and idling it does not run above 100.
My mechanic thinks he recalls there was a mfg modification to the water pump pulley in later year models like after 84/85 that replaced the pulley with a smaller one to make it turn faster.
