'82 300TD - Circuit 1 fuse blowing

I have a 1982 300TDT. My fuse for circuit 1 keeps blowing. I have the correct color fuse installed as per the fuse box specification.

Over a year and a half ago this started happening. Up until now I could just replace the fuse and it would be fine for several months, so I just let it go.

Now, however, it blows immediately as soon as ignition switch or lights are turned on.

When this blows I lose my dash lights, right rear taillight and right marker light. It basically means I can't safely drive it at night until I get the problem taken care of. The turn signals still work, by the way, if that somehow helps to diagnose the problem.

123 Suspension Torque specifications ??

123 '83 300D turbodiesel:

I am rebuilding the front end on this car and need torque specifications to properly replace the nuts and bolts in the front end. I am installing new shocks upper a-arms, sway bar bushings etc. If you have the specs available please give me a call at 310-291-2035. My car is in the shop right now and the technician asked me if I had any of the specs.

Short notice I know and I appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks,
Michael

1984 300D Cruise control issues

Hi all. Hope the New year is being good to everybody. I work this site for all I can and have read every question that pertains to my particular car and have gained so much knowledge. I am grateful to Mercedessource for providing this great data base. That said my question is, that if I set my CC at about 62 mph and around 3000 rpm it works fairly consistant. I say "fairly consistant" as eventually it gets a little jerky. If I don't set it right around those values it runs even more jerky. It surges and then backs off again and again as it tries to compensate for rises and dips in the highway. I have read about the amplifier under the dash and loose ball sockets in the linkages. Has anyone had similar symptons and addressed this specific quirk and what was your experience and outcome.
